How to Commission a DARTZ: From First Enquiry to Delivery

A DARTZ is commissioned directly from DARTZ, never through a dealer. It begins with an enquiry to the office of Leonard F. Yankelovich, by form, email, phone, WhatsApp or WeChat. In a private consultation the client chooses the model, armour or no armour, the cabin materials and the finish. Every car is built to that specification. DARTZ says it has accepted cryptocurrency since 2017, and its owners receive DARTZ RussoBaltique vodka and Imperial Prix 1912 caviar.

There is no configurator on the DARTZ website, and no dealer on your high street. There is a conversation.

1. The enquiry

Every DARTZ begins with an enquiry to the office of Leonard F. Yankelovich. It can be sent through the form on the DARTZ contact page, by email, by phone, or through WhatsApp or WeChat. “We have no dealers,” Leonard told HotCars. “Our strategy is to have direct sales.” DARTZ adds that its clients don’t deal with managers who come and go: they deal with the person Responsible For Everything.

2. The private consultation

In a private consultation the client and DARTZ decide what the car will be. Nothing is chosen from a brochure. The general DARTZ design language is the only fixed point; everything else is tailored.

3. The model and the platform

The client chooses a line, from the Iron Diamond CLV to the Black Stallion, Black Dragon, Black Alligator or the Aladeen Edition, or asks for something that does not exist yet, as the client of the Nightshark VI did. Several models are built on the platform the client prefers.

4. Armour, or not

Every Prombron’ can be armoured or not. The protection level is agreed against the client’s real needs, with DARTZ’s GBOL technology. Read how to choose and what the protection levels mean.

5. The cabin

The Department of Opulence specifies the interior: natural leathers only, NaturReal Ⓓ, from alligator and stingray to python; real wood; gold or titanium buttons; Tetelbaum biometric safes; Metaxas & Sins audio. Read about the Department of Opulence.

6. The finish

Paint, art and badges come last. The Black Stallion CLV comes in Platinum Black or Aladeen Black; the Aladeen Edition in Aladeen Gold; the Black Tiger was drawn on by the artist A. C’machoff rather than painted. Cars sold in China can carry the gold DARTZ badge set with 55 diamonds.

7. Payment and paperwork

DARTZ says it has accepted cryptocurrency since 2017. Every car is built for one owner, to that owner’s specification.

8. What comes with the car

A DARTZ does not come alone. DARTZ has made its RussoBaltique vodka part of owning one, and it supplies its owners with Imperial Prix 1912 caviar during the warranty period, in jars of gunmetal, silver and gold.

About DARTZ

DARTZ is a Riga carrosserie that builds bespoke, opulent vehicles, armoured or non-armoured, in strictly limited numbers. It calls them BONDs: Bespoke Opulent Noble Drives.

Its heritage runs back to the Russo-Baltic Wagon Factory (RBVZ), founded in Riga in 1869, whose automobile department built its first car in 1909. Leonard F. Yankelovich revived that heritage as DARTZ in 1988. The group, DARTZ Grupa OÜ, is registered in Tallinn, Estonia.
