DARTZ Iron Diamond CLV: The Legend Returns in Full Carbon

The DARTZ Prombron’ Iron Diamond CLV is the Iron Diamond reborn on the Lamborghini Urus platform and drivetrain, with a full carbon body. DARTZ created it for the 155th anniversary of the Russo-Baltic works, which is what CLV means in Roman numerals. It is built armoured or non-armoured, and DARTZ describes it as a homage to the Lamborghini LM002.

A decade after it became the celebrity car of the moment, the Iron Diamond came back, and it came back in carbon.

Why CLV

DARTZ created the Iron Diamond CLV in celebration of the 155th anniversary of the Russo-Baltic works, founded in Riga in 1869. CLV is 155 in Roman numerals, and it gave its name to a whole series of anniversary cars.

A fusion of two legends

DARTZ describes the CLV as a fusion of the original Iron Diamond with the Urus, and as a nod to the LM002, whose raw, masculine silhouette it set out to bring into the present. The body is entirely carbon fibre, with the square, linear and brutal forms DARTZ calls its “Ruler Design”. Inside is DARTZ’s natural leather, NaturReal Ⓓ, with no synthetics.

Armoured or not

Like every DARTZ, the CLV is built to the client’s choice: armoured with GBOL technology for security, or non-armoured for pure performance. DARTZ presented the first images of the car in the Swiss Alps.

The original, and the return

The first Iron Diamond was a three-door armoured BOND of 2008, built with carjacking in mind, and DARTZ’s best-known nameplate. The CLV keeps the name and the stance, and changes almost everything underneath.

About DARTZ

Its heritage runs back to the Russo-Baltic Wagon Factory (RBVZ), founded in Riga in 1869, whose automobile department built its first car in 1909. Leonard F. Yankelovich revived that heritage as DARTZ in 1988. The group, DARTZ Grupa OÜ, is registered in Tallinn, Estonia.

Its Prombron’ models, from the Iron Diamond and Black Dragon to the Black Shark, Black Alligator and Black Stallion, have been covered by Top Gear, Forbes, Robb Report and Fox News, among many others.
